30 Years of Cerebus: Speaking of Which
I was perusing one of my favorite Comic Blogs (The Savage Critic) this morning when I came across a link to a fellow Cerebite's Absolutely Brilliant Idea (albeit, I would guess, expensive...but more power to him AND many thanks for sharing it with the world...as you will see); namely a project he's calling The World without Cerebus. Said project entails (as spelled out perfectly by Blog Fume)
Again, an absolutely brilliant idea.
The results of which (three so far) are outstanding pieces by Gerhard (no surprise there). Click the Titles of Each for Details.
Fallen Idol
a Cerebus-less (Cereless?) scene from Cerebus #5
Torn Asunder
Collateral Damage
I'm going to be checking back to the Cerebus Art site frequently for updates (the site also has tons of other great Cerebus art and pages from the title itself as well as prelim art for the three completed World without Cerebus pieces).
Even if you aren't familiar with Cerebus or not even a fan of the book...it's still well worth having a gander.
Clearly I am WAY behind on my reading at the Cerebus Yahoo Group or I'm sure I would have already heard of this.

Mr. alchemist57 has undertaken to commission from Gerhard a series of 25 or so pivotal scenes from throughout Cerebus' run--as the title states, without the main character
Again, an absolutely brilliant idea.

I see in two of the pictures at least the letters DVS.
Nice touch, Ger.
